Simple tips on how to lead a healthier life…If you are tired of your daily exercise routine, you might want to try Nia.

The energy that Dina and her class produce bubbles in the air. Nia is open to all people. It feels more like a community than a stop at a competitive gym or dance class.
– Denise Doherty, A Girl On A Mission TV
The [classroom] environment created by Dina was one of peace, calm and acceptance. We watched as women from every walk of life embraced that hour as their own, expressed themselves and focused solely on their inner-being. And then we too began dropping the stresses that followed us through the doors and for an hour, focused on us. It was only a matter of minutes before our fears subsided and we were putting our mind at ease and focusing on the joys of our life.
We couldn’t sing the praises of Dina or Nia Underground more. It is an experience and community that is open, accepting, supportive and life-changing.
–Nadine Haija, A Girl’s Guide to Seattle, Agent Noir Diaries
Dina is superbly integrated–congruent between feeling, expression, energy, and movement. She has the rare mastery to be able to generate and express genuine positive emotion rather than play-acting. As an advanced healer and intuitive practitioner, I am exceptionally sensitive to energy. Opening myself to follow a teacher who is not congruent is a dissonant experience for me. I trust Dina not only to remain in her authenticity, but to take me into feeling and expression that may be difficult to access on my own. Dina also has a fabulous grasp of essential spiritual truths, which she presents with simplicity when appropriate in her classes.
– Teresa Dietze, Healing Arts Practioner
Dina’s class today was the first Nia class when I was absolutley present the entire time. I never one thought about my to-do list! It was glorious. Just great!

Three years ago I was at a crossroads and I heard a voice from deep within me say, “Dance.” Then, I was led to Nia. And now, I sometimes see myself in the mirror and say, “I love that man…I love that he’s dancing through life. And how sweet it is to do so in such a rich and creative community!”
— Ron Sepielli, Leadership Coach
Dancing Nia with Dina has given me so much more than just a workout. Through this practice, I’ve gained an amazing and supportive community, not to mention more energy and a deeper sense of Spirit.

I’ve been hearing about Dina for a while. She’d become a mythic creature. I finally made it to class and while I was dancing and having the time of my life, I thought, “I’m dancing with a unicorn!” She’s one of a kind!

Recently my 82 year old mother-in-law was visiting from out of town. She’s an active woman and I know she has always loved to dance. I asked her to join Dina’s class and give it a try and she gladly accepted the invitation.
She has some physical limitations; an arthritic knee that requires she wears a knee brace. I suggested she go easy and keep it at a level that was comfortable for her.
I was concerned that she wouldn’t like the music or it would be too hard for her. While the class was in full progress I was watching out for her and at one moment I turned around and asked her how she was doing. She brightly replied with a sparkle in her eyes as she swayed her arms to the music, “I just LOVE this music”, and she continued to move with pleasure. It was so inspirational to see such a beautiful woman of her age enjoying NIA. During that week she attended three classes; it was a challenge for her but she continued to participate. When I speak with her she still talks about the fun she had at NIA . It was such a joy to share that experience with her. Thanks Dina!

I love your blog, Dina. Full of energy, just like you.! I’ve enjoyed watching the paths you choose to take over the months since I’ve been dancing with you at Nia. And I appreciate your introspection and your generosity of spirit. It’s a joy to be a part of your class and to dance this dance of life! Great photos. How fun! Blessings,

I just wanted to write you a note and tell you how much it meant to me to be able to take your class on my birthday.
I have come to Nia many times over the past few years. Times when I was sad about something, and hoped to be brought up by the energy and music. Times when I wanted to bring a friend or sister to experience your class in the hopes that she would gain something from it. Times when I wanted a work out, and couldn’t fathom the idea of going to the gym.
But Sunday’s class was just for me . A celebration of my thirty-three years on this planet, and a way to be in my body and spirit for the simple joy of it. Thank you so much for teaching the class, for acknowledging me, for bringing meaning and power to that day. You are so appreciated!
