Many of you have considered taking the White Belt and becoming a Nia Instructor. I want to raise the idea that the Deepen Your Niability – a 10-week series is a excellent interim step. It bring you closer to the form that supports the practice and provide a base of knowledge to give you an advantage for absorbing the material.

The next Niability Series starts on May 15th.  For more information, click on the Niability Tab.

balancefinger

…that is, according to Nia, the BALANCE FINGER (one of the 52 moves!!)  I think that may be the first time in NY history when giving the finger wasn’t an insult!

“When you accurately perceive the fluidity of things,
you also begin to perceive the constancy behind them:
the creative, transformative, boundless, immutable Tao.
To see this is the ultimate education.”

family

I landed in Seattle last night after a long but uneventful flight from NY where I was visiting mi famiglia. This is a cute picture taken by my cousin, Jen, on Sunday night after family dinner at my Mom’s home. It was a great visit. From left to right: Caitlin, Dina, Chrissy, Maeve, Daniel…and STEPHEN! Yes, that’s our boy! He’s doing so well! He and his Dad were telling stories about his experiences in the hospital. I was os glad to be able to hear them in person.
