We celebrated Halloween early this year by bobbing for apples after class on Wednesday.

Here are my ladies each with a big mouthful!

I’m off to New York for a long weekend to take my nephews trick-or-treating.

Fellow Nia Underground-er Barb Duff will be guest teaching until my return on Wednesday, November 6th.

My sister Chrissy’s pooch Bentley says,

“I’m ready to rock!”

Remember when Girl on a Mission (aka Denise Doughtery) came to film our morning class and followed up with an interview with me?

That show is going to be broadcast on this Sunday at 5:30pm!

Catch it on Comcast 77 (or Broadstripe 23, depending on your cable provider).
It will also be shown online at that time at broadband.scantv.org–click on where it says “Scan is streaming LIVE 24/7 on the web.”

I’m going to be out watching it with my Nia crew at a location TBD.
I would love to have you join us, so email me or reply to this post and I’ll let you know where we’ll be watching.

Here are a couple Nia class time changes to put into your calendar.
Beginning at the start of November:

  • My Friday night classes (first and third Fridays of the month) are moving to 6:30pm.
  • Barb Duff’s Tues and Thurs morning classes are moving to 8:00am.

My time change is to help us have extra time at the end of class to cool down, do our hot sweet towel time, and connect.

After a Friday Night Fun class at Studio Nia, we freshened up and got ready for a night on the town.

With gift in hand, Kat, Mollia, and Rachel pose for me before we sat down to dinner with Nia founder Carlos Rosas.

Over some of the best Thai food Portland has to offer, we had our curiosities satisfied about our beloved practice.

How often do you get to ask a master about his life’s work?!

The next morning, we attended Debbie’s butt busting class.

And then, we did some shopping and caused some jaw dropping!

Even though the start date is still several weeks away, our perfect Niability group has come together. That was so easy!

I’m thrilled to have time to get to know each and every one of the ladies who will be communing at my house on Sunday mornings over the next six months! Oh, the places we’ll go!

So officially: We’re SOLD OUT!

We have started a waiting list for the Spring start of Niability. If you want to be a part of that perfect group, let us know soon.

YAY!!!

I had to look up the lyrics to our Pointer Sisters song from class today, and thought I would share them with you.

 Doodle wop a-rat-a-tat boom
I’ll make the sound of a jet plane zoom
 Doodle wop a-rat-a-tat boom
I’ll make the sound of a fire

You got to believe in somethin’
 Why not believe in me?
You got to believe in somethin’
 Why not believe in me?

What have I, I done to you
To make you mean
And treat me the way you do?

Go on and wave your flag, brother
Start your revolution
I’m willing to let you do your thing
Tell me why are you planning a compromise?

You got to believe in somethin’
Why not believe in me?
You got to believe in somethin’
Why not believe in me?
