Did you think we wouldn’t catch you?

We did a sun dance today in class and here’s the result:

Today we celebrated community member and great Nia teacher Fran Kao’s 32nd birthday while we were being taped by Denise for Girl on a Mission TV to be aired at a later date. 

Then we ate delicious cupcakes from Trophy Cupcakes in Wallingford. YUMMIE!

This is Denise Doherty from Girl on a Mission TV.

On Monday, August 25th, she and her crew will be coming to our morning Nia class to capture our magic on film.

I am so excited to be featured and give my ladies a chance to shine! The energy is gonna be through the roof and I hope you will all be joining me!

Now, what should I wear….?

My heart is divided in two…half belongs to New York, to my family, to my first home.  The other half, to Seattle, to my dear sweet friends, and, most importantly, to my Nia community and practice.  

I am transformed by the pain of living so far away from my family.  Each plane ride home from home feels like a mini death.  Dancing with you heals me, stitches me back together again.  My bare feet and broken-open heart are screaming for hard-wood healing!  Godspeed Wednesday AM class!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for showing up and making it all worthwhile.  Please know this: I wouldnt be here without you, my sweet, wonderful community.  :)
 

 I miss my great Nia community, and you know I miss dancing, but right now, you gotta see what I’ve temporarily left for: my awesome family!
