Bodyfulness — Seattle Nia with Dina

AFTER class on Wednesday morning, I am leaving for San Francisco for 3 nights to visit my good friend Taura, and to see Fat Freddy’s Drop on Thursday night. Then on Saturday, I leave for San Diego for a week. This trip couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ll be back teaching on Sunday, Nov. 29th at 1 PM.

You’ll be in good hands. Guest teacher Mollia Jensen will be representing the good life. She’s gonna rock it and roll it, and tie it up in a bow. Feel me – you shouldn’t miss Mollia this week kicking some Nia ass!

And- don’t forget this Friday night is RockNia at 6:30 PM.

Pictured here is Mollia Jensen, the inspiration behind the smash hit, RockNia. She will be Guest Teacher this Sunday, for our “Nia Church” at 1pm, as I’ll be trick-or-treating with my nephews in NY.

On this Day of the Dead – 2009, Molls will take her first heal-lead step into a long, rich, fulfilling, creatively and financially satisfying career as a Nia instructor. This will be her first full-length class.

Come by and dance, sing, celebrate, remember. Because I know Mollia, I know her first class will be soulful, reverent, and off-the-hook hot!

Caitlin is off to Cambodia for 3 years to work in human services for a non-profit organization. She had her last class with me on Wednesday morning.

Let’s imagine her and her partner Teia safety arriving, securing comfortable and convenient housing, and getting starting in their new life with ease.

Pictured here is Dara McKinley, co-founder of Nia-Underground. Her lease at Dance Underground will expire at the end of November 2009. At that time, her former Nia class time slots will be used by the studio owner to expand her Tango program.

Dara’s desire is to have her last class be on October 31st at 12:15pm. If you have felt a connection with her, this is your chance to enjoy a last dance with her at Dance Underground.

As a very wise woman said to me, “when a door closes, a window opens.” Who knows what will be in store next for this dynamic woman. What ever it is…I’m sure it will be juicy!

Since the Tango program is not set to begin until December, Barb and I have decided to continue running classes as usual until then.

This means there will be no canceled classes through November. Said another way- our Nia-Underground schedule will remain the same until the end of November.

The only change will be who is teaching those classes. Most of them will be covered by myself and Barb.

Today’s class was so HOT…and yet sooo cool.  The reason: we got a new air-conditioner in the Dance-Underground building!!!  It felt so great in there.  Very refreshing.  Apparently, the system turns on when in hits 69 degrees.  Cool, dark, and sexy…! Yes!! I’m so psyched.  Thank you to all those who made that happen for us…you know who you are!
